Computer Engineering

About Department: The department was formally established in 2012. Currently, the department has a 11 faculty whose interests span almost covers all areas of Computer Engineering. The department offers an undergraduate program with an intake of 180 students.

Vision:

The Department of Computer Engineering envisions itself as a centre of education, research and development for advancement of knowledge in the field of computer engineering to best serve the needs of students, industry and society. The spirit of service, honesty and quality as its foundational strength, the department aims to achieve its noble objective through total commitment and involvement of faculty, staff and students. Collaboration with industries and technical organizations is envisaged as a vital linkage for sustaining relevance and continuous up gradation.

The Department delivers quality methods of teaching that help students enhance their knowledge, understand the importance of being leaders in the area of their interest & provide them with an unbeatable edge to success today’s demanding work place & global market.

The departments run the students club called ACES predominately meant for encouraging the students to enhance their qualities, their ideas, their thoughts etc helps out the students to stand the field of Excellency. Under the Association Department organizes various youth events which ultimately help out to develop their leadership qualities, event managing kill and much more.

Laboratories

Laboratories: Each department in the college has its own computer labs with faster internet access facility for providing the students with greater opportunities to hone their particular talents and knowledge- skills, helping them to remain updated on emerging trends and technologies. Computing Laboratory facilities are utilized for the conductance of basic Programming Course, Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithm Development etc.

Data Structures and Problem solving Lab Here in this lab all the experiments of DSPS subject belonging to S.E (comp), DAA of B.E are been conducted.
Microprocessor and Hardware Lab Here in this lab experiments of subjects MA, MIT are been conducted.
Operating System and Unix Lab Here in this lab experiments of subjects OSA, OSD are been conducted.
Database Management and data Mining Lab. Here in this lab experiments of subjects, DMSA, Data Mining and Applications, are been conducted.
Forensics and Smart System Design Lab Here in this lab experiments of subjects such as cFCA, SSD, PMCD are been conducted.
Computer Networks and Wireless Sensors Network Lab. Here in this lab experiments of subjects such as DCWSN, CN are been conducted.

  • Prof. Vilas G. Mankar

    Assistant Professor and Head of Department

    Prof. Vilas G. Mankar, Assistant Professor and Head of Department of Computer Engineering, is a hard core technology enthusiast, has a vision to impart excellent technical knowledge to Students through his excellent teaching.

    He has over 15 years of experience in technical teaching and 01 year in Industry. He worked as Assistant Professor in International Institute of Information Technology, Zeal College of Engineering & Research and AISSM College of Engineering, Pune.

    His areas of expertise are Theory of Computation, Operating System, Data Structures and C Programming, Distributed System, Database Management System .

    He is an excellent trainer in Data Base,SQL, C Programming, C++ Programming, Data Structures, JAVA .

    He is a Graduate in Information Technology from Nagpur University and holds Master’s Degree in CSE-IT from Pune University.

    His main aim is to train the students in such a way that they should not only face their Practical and Theory exams very Confidently and Satisfactorily but also acquire a huge set of knowledge to become Industry Ready.

    Prof. Hemant B. Shinde

    He has completed his bachelor’s degree from Dr. BATU Lonere, in the year 2008, in first class with distinction and master’s degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune in the year 2015. He is having total 7 years of professional teaching experience. He is expertise in field of System Programming, Cloud Computing, Algorithms and Programming.

    He has completed his bachelor’s degree from College of Engineering Pandharpur, Solapur University in the year 2008, in first class and master’s degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune in the year 2014. He is having total 7 years of professional teaching experience. He is GATE scorer with 88 percentile. He has won the best paper award in VIIT Pune on topic “Document Ranking with multi keyword search in Cloud Computing”. He is expertise in field of Software Development, System Programming, Data Mining, cloud computing and Database Management Systems and Applications.

She is having total 10 years of professional teaching experience. She is expertise in field of Compiler Design, Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Machine Learning.
